Backwater Blues Code Of Conduct
Our code of conduct is intended to make this event as supportive and safe as possible for all who attend. We would like this space to be welcoming and engaging, and we encourage everyone to be proactive in creating an atmosphere where the safety of others is valued. In this spirit; abuse, assault, harassment, and discrimination will not be tolerated. Participants who fail to comply with these rules will not be permitted to stay at the event, and no refunds will be issued for expulsion based on violation of this code of conduct.
Everyone entering this space is asked to be aware of their language and behavior, and to think about whether it might be harmful to others. Harmful language or behavior will not be allowed, whether it is based on religion (or lack thereof), race, gender, orientation, age, ability, body shape, or any other characteristic. This includes behavior and language which are demeaning, intimidating, offensive, stalking, discriminatory, disruptive, or otherwise unwelcome or inappropriate. Participants are expected to respect the comfort and boundaries of others; if you are asked to cease an unwelcome behavior, do so immediately. If you witness any harassment, whether against you or against anyone else, or if you have any questions or concerns, we ask that you please contact one of our staff members immediately. We are committed to upholding this code of conduct, and support the right of every participant to be treated with respect. We maintain the right to remove anyone from this event for violating the spirit of this code at our own discretion.
